Troop and
Patrol
Leaders
The Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters are adult volunteers who serve as guides and mentors for the boys. The boys are the real leaders of the Troop. Patrol Leaders are elected twice each year to serve six month terms. The Patrol Leaders appoint their Assistant Patrol Leaders. The Senior and Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders appoint other boys in the troop to serve various important jobs. Parents are encouraged to contribute by helping to coordinate outings, sharing your special skills, or just lending a hand at Troop meetings.
Committee Members
The Troop Committee takes care of the program planning and business aspects of running the Troop. The Troop Committee is a group of adult volunteers who help plan the Troop program and individual activities with the Troop's Patrol Leaders as well as managing such things as record keeping, finance, leadership recruitment, and registration. Troop 200's Committee meets monthly and our meetings are open to any interested parent. For the 2006/2007 Scouting year we have the following volunteers serving as Committee members:
We could not provide a quality program without the many volunteers, who commit their time and energy organizing meetings, events and special programs. We would welcome and encourage you to serve as a Member of the Committee to provide our Leaders and Scouts with guidance and support during their Scouting journey.
Chartered Organization
The Boy Scouts of America has issued the charter for Cub Scout Pack 200 to the Derry Presbyterian Church to enable them to use the Scouting program under their own leadership as a service to their children, youth, and families. Executive Officer: Richard Houtz 533-9667 |
